About Me

About Me

The Hacker's Brew.

Hey there! I'm Sparsh, your friendly neighborhood penetration tester, cybersecurity enthusiast and a recent graduate from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Apart from using platforms like TryHackMe, HackTheBox or various CTF Challenges I like to keep my skills sharp by interacting with others in the field of security. I am a part of the (ISC)2 NoVA Chapter, I co-own a Discord server that has more than 250 cybersecurity graduates from my university and in the future I look forward to attending various security conferences like DefCON.

When I'm not trying to break into networks (ethically, of course), you can find me obsessing over the perfect cup of coffee. That's right – I hack systems and brew beans with equal passion!

The Tech Side.

I am an offensive security practitioner with expertise in Linux, Windows, and everything in between. While I daily-drive a MacOS computer, I have a strong background in making and breaking Windows and Unix systems alike.

I speak fluent C/C++, Python, Bash, and PowerShell amongst many other languages. Currently, I'm learning Rust & Go to see how their binaries work under the hood, hoping to learn how to reverse them.

Most of my experience is focused on application security, system administration, network security, secure code reviews, forensics, and information assurance. I am skilled at hardening both on-prem infrastructure and cloud deployments, such as AWS and Azure.

My Socials.

You can find me lurking around the internet under the alias hutgrabber. Feel free to get in touch and I'll tell the secret to making the perfect cup of ✨blonde roast americano✨.

The Mission.

Through this blog, I'm sharing my journey in cybersecurity, from developing the hacker mindset & crafting the perfect penetration testing setup to writing about significant topics in cybersecurity. Think of it your learning lab – minus the coffee stains.

So, whether you're here to level up your hacking skills or just curious about how many espresso shots it takes to crack a particularly stubborn firewall (spoiler: more than you'd think), stick around. It's going to be a wild, caffeinated ride! Remember: In cybersecurity, as in coffee, it's all about finding the right blend of skills, tools, and a dash of creative chaos. Together, let's try and find the best digital brew!
